Ram Niwas Bagh in Jaipur

Among the green patches in the city of Jaipur, Ram Niwas Garden is of utmost significance. Not only does it exhibit natural beauty in the center of the city in the midst of concrete jungles but it also houses a couple of prominent attractions of the city.

Established by Sawai Raja Pratap Singh in the year 1868, this place was constructed to offer relief from the drought that had taken over the state of Jaipur. It is believed that in those times, the total expense for constructing Ram Niwas Bagh in Jaipur had come out to something around four lakh rupees.

The major places that constitute the famous Ram Niwas Bagh in Jaipur are Albert Hall, Zoological Garden and the garden area. The foundation stone of the famous Albert Hall was laid in the year 1876 by Prince of Wales Prince Albert. The famous hall at Ram Niwas Bagh now houses an amazingly beautiful museum.

Located in the heart of the city, the famous Ram Niwas Bagh is easily commutable from all parts of the city of Jaipur.
